Summary
Jay plays Shane, ex-high-school-football-player
hick (complete with pickup truck and gun rack) who has recently gotten out of jail.
He’s got a bit of a temper and is described by another character as a loose cannon, but he has no intention of
going back to the slammer. Ever. So
when he gets caught up in a bad situation with his buddies – Danny, the high school football star, Taz, longtime friend
and teammate, and Aaron, the kid with the bad home life who isn’t playing with a full deck – Shane is the first
one to vote for calling the cops. When that idea gets shot down, though, things
go from bad to worse until it’s hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.
As this movie illustrates, the bad guys aren’t always evil, just well-intentioned people caught up in messy circumstances
and making decisions that keep working out the wrong way.

Lots of Screencaps for this one, with captions and everything:
^ Out for a drive after the football game, Shane and buddies spot some girls they know.
^ Shane greets the girls with a nice little fireball. They're impressed!
^ Okay, maybe not so much.
He thinks it was pretty funny, though.
And look at that, one of the girls did think it was a little funny. Slick, Shane. Very slick.
Shane notices his younger sister's boyfriend's car in a parking lot . . .
. . . and is less than happy when he finds little sis and much-older-boyfriend having some fun in the backseat.
And look who still shows up the next morning! Jim, the sister's boyfriend.
Shane's not very impressed.
A fun day, before everything goes wrong.
Ultimate irony - the bad boy wants to do the legal thing, while the good boy wants to do the loyal thing.
Shane gets outvoted, and everybody gets caught by the old guy.
Things rapidly go downhill.
Now they're covering up two murders.
Good buddy Gil is arrested for the crime he had nothing to do with.
Things get tense.
Shane gets interrupted by Danny.
Time for the boys to make a run for it.
Picking up Taz.
Planning the route.
But the cops get there first, thanks to Jim (Shane's little sister's boyfriend).
Shane makes it clear that he has no intention of going back to prison.
Shooting out the headlights before making a break for it.
But there's a cop out there with good aim . . .
. . . unfortunately for Shane.
And Shane won't be going back to prison.
